The 4th International Marble Sculpture Symposium, organized by Caransebes Municipality, will take place for the forth time.

Deadline: 5st of April, 2013

ARTICLE 1:
The 4th International Marble Sculpture Symposium, organized by Caransebes Municipality, will take place in Caransebes-Jud Caras-Severin between:
June the 10th and July the 9th 2013

ARTICLE 2:
A jury appointed by Carasebes Municipality with two guest jury members from United Artists Association of Romania will choose the participating artists until the 20th of April 2013.

ARTICLE 3:
A total of 11th artists will be participating in the symposium.

ARTICLE 4:
The material to be used is Andezit (a sort of granit).

ARTICLE 5:
The Carasebes Municipality will provide each artist with a maximum of 2 cubic meters, 2 stone (rocks) in total, sized and preformed according to the artist's orders as dimensional specifications. The organisers will provide power and air compressor, angle grinder 9". Artists will take their own tools.

ARTICLE 6:
The theme of the symposium is free.

ARTICLE 7:
The sculptures produced by the artists in the symposium will be placed in The Sculpture Park of the city Caransebes.

ARTICLE 8:
The accommodation (motel,double rooms) and food will be provided by the Municipality and sponsors. Accompaniments can come on their own expenses.

ARTICLE 9:
Travel expenses for all artists will be covered as follows:200 euros for each foreign artist from Europe (included Rusia & Turqy), 500 euros from other countries and local transportations for Romanian artists.

ARTICLE 10:
Each artist who has completed his work will be given a total of 1500 euros. The half of the total amount will be paid in the second week of the symposium; the remaining will be given after the symposium is completed, along with the certificate of participation

ARTICLE 11:
The Caransebes Municipality will provide tents and cover roof, water, tee, coffee in the symposium site.
ARTICLE 12:
The working area will be outdoors, close to the motel.

ARTICLE 13:
The artists are obligated to remain in the symposium work area during the symposium working hours.

ARTICLE 14:
It's suggested the participants bring visual material of their works to share with the artists and small sculptures, drawings for an exhibition in the Gallery Caransebes.

ARTICLE 15:
Artists are responsible for taking out their own accident insurances.

ARTICLE 16:

1. The sketches, model or photographs of model of the proposed artwork for the symposium, showing different angles the dimensions for the block or blocks for stone to be used not exceeding 3 cubic meter in total.
2. The Symposium Committee must be informed about Mounting sketch, short explanation of the quantity and type of additional material to be used in the proposed artwork.
3. Artists CV with an artist's photo.
4. 4 - 5 photographs from your 3 recent works in symposiums.

ARTICLE 17:
Caransebes Municipality and The Symposium Committee have the right of taking decision in the case of "the incompletion of art works within the symposium period". In case of conflict, Caransebes Courts are authorized.

ARTICLE 18:
The artists selected by the jury to participate in the symposium are supposed to inform their travel schedule.

ARTICLE 19:
The participating artists are regarded as they accepted the symposium specifications and calendar.

ARTICLE 20:
In tow of the week ends trips will be organised in selected locations of the County of Caras Severin.

Data limita: 5 aprilie 2013

1. Tabara se desfasoara pe o perioada de 4 saptamani (10 iunie - 9 iulie 2013)

2. Numar de participanti: 11 sculptori profesionisti din tara si strainatate.

3. Material: andezit ,aprox 2 m³ 2 buc dimensiuni prestabilite de sculptori

4. Fiecare artist vine cu uneltele proprii. Organizatorii pun la dispozitie: compresor de aer cu 4-8 posturi, (electricitate-220V) pentru 11 utilaje si flex-uri de 9".

5. Punct de lucru: in aer liber, sub cortina de 11 posturi.

6. Conditii de cazare si masa pentru artisti: cazare la pensiune in camere de doua paturi (3 camere + 2 camere rezerva pt.oaspeti (critic de arta, insotitori care isi platesc sejurul.)    Masa: 3 mese consistente pe zi ,avand in vedere efortul depus.

7. Se asigura plata transportului pe teritoriul Romaniei.

8. Onorariul de 1500 de euro (in lei) pentru fiecare artist, (500 euro dupa prima saptamana si restul la inchiderea simpozionului cu finalizarea lucrarii).

9. Lucrarile raman in patrimoniul organizatorilor sau sponsorilor si se amplaseaza in spatiile viitorului parc de sculptura din Caransebes.

10. Calendar organizatoric:

- 5 aprilie, ultima zi de primire a aplicatiilor de participare la tabara, impreuna cu mapa fiecarui sculptor ce va cuprinde: proiectul lucrarii propuse cu fotografii din 3 unghiuri dupa macheta, 5 imagini cu ultimile lucrari in marmura si CV-ul, pe adresa de e-mail: euartpe@yahoo.com

- 10-15 aprilie jurizarea si anuntarea prin telefon, fax, e-mail a artistilor participanti

- 10 iunie deschiderea oficiala a taberei
- 10 iunie - 8 iulie realizarea lucrarilor

- 9 iulie inchiderea oficiala, cu participarea unui critic de arta.

11. Expozitie cu machetele si schitele simpozionului, precum si alte lucrari de grafica sau sculptura mica in Galeria de Arta Caransebes, in perioada taberei.

12. Mediatizarea simpozionului in mass-media
